What is your role?

As Data Scientist Intern you will join our team and support in developing a cutting-edge IoT system to enhance vehicle safety and performance. Our unique solution includes sensor-equipped brake pads (smart pads), an electronic data acquisition system, an App, and a cloud platform integrated with client systems.

The system provides real-time insights into brake pad wear, temperature monitoring, and driving behavior analysis.

As an Intern in ITT, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world data from an innovative product in the automotive industry. In support of experienced data scientists and engineers, you will have a chance to contribute to the evolution of our algorithms and product features.

Your day in the life in ITT as Data Scientist Intern

• Support the development and optimization of algorithms for sensor data processing, temperature monitoring, and driving behavior analysis.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze and interpret data collected from IoT devices.
• Assist in testing and validating new algorithms in a real-world pilot environment.
• Contribute to updating and enhancing existing data models based on feedback from the pilot program.

What will make you our perfect match?

• New graduate  in Data Science, Mathematics and Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of data analysis languages such as Python, Matlab, C
• Interest in IoT technologies and algorithm development.
• Basic knowlege of cloud platforms (AWS) or IoT systems and machine learning
• Familiarity with signal processing or sensor data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Italian and good level of English
