We’re looking for a Financial Controller Intern to join our Financial Controlling team in Barge (CN) working in a uniquely high-performing, inclusive and collaborative working culture within the largest manufacturing site of brake pads for automotive at global level.

ITT operates through three Value Centers (business units):

• Motion Technologies (“MT”) designs and manufactures brake pads, shock absorbers, buffers and couplers and sealing solutions for the automotive and rail markets. MT is based in Barge, Italy.
• Industrial Process (“IP”) designs and manufactures pumps, valves, monitoring and control systems, water treatment and aftermarket services for the chemical, oil and gas, mining and other industrial process markets, as well as global service capabilities. IP is based in Seneca Falls, N.Y.
• Connect and Control Technologies ("CCT") designs and manufactures harsh-environment connector and critical energy absorption and flow control components primarily for the aerospace, defense and industrial markets. CCT is based in Valencia, CA.

Your day in the life of Financial Controller Intern at ITT

Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, you will support the team on the following activities:

• Support plant budget, forecast and strategic plan preparation
• Prepare and manage month-end closing activities (US GAAP and according to SOX)
• Ensure the correct application of procedures and timing respect
• Monitor the plant industrial KPI on a weekly/monthly basis
• Monthly variances analysis by product and customer ✓ Prepare expense report, analysis and review
• Collaborate with the senior controller to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis
• Support continuous improvement methodology deployment (from loss identification to saving track)
• Support the yearly hourly rate cost calculation and manage the standard cost update
• Support the senior controller on the stock valuation and E&O calculation
• Support the senior controller on the yearly inventory stock tacking activities
• Participate to internal audits

What will make you our perfect match?

Key requirements are:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or any finance related degree
• Ability to prioritize task, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good command of MS Excel, Power Point, and analysis applications.
• Good knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
• Good communication and presentation skills – verbal and oral
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to cooperate within a complex and dynamic multinational Company to strengthen and learn new skills
• Good English knowledge
